Licensing

In the last year I've signed 10 non exclusive licensing agreements for television, films and games. It's the best shot an indie artist has to getting their music signed, licensed and published.

So many of my so called peers are still chasing their tails with gigs and ignoring the digital revolution that has freed the indie musician.

In the 20th century you signed away 50% of your publishing to the label, exclusively.

Now you have can have as many non exclusive sub publishing agreements as you like with a variety of percentages.

My contracts rage from 50/50, 60/40, 70/30, 82.5/17.5.

This is the greatest time in the history of our industry to be an indie artist.

Of course it helps to be a singer, songwriter, musician, arranger, producer, performer, publisher who's prolific in multiple genres.
